Be the Match - You can make a difference in the life of someone with cancer by getting a simple swab test and registering with the Be the Match national bone marrow registry. We held an event on May 23, 2011 in honor of Maya Collins who had Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Maya received a bone marrow transplant and it was a success. She is now home and is cancer free (yippie) Many thanks to Abuelo's for hosting the event, all the
volunteers and especially to the donors for coming out to support Maya
and others with cancer. Super Strong Maya! Click here to see the WLWT5.com news clip from the Marrow for Maya drive on May 23! Support two local Mom's (and friends) who are raising money for Team in Training for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in support of Maya and others. They are raising money so they can race in Madrid in the Spring.

Gracious Giving Network - blmkc@cinci.rr.com. (513-398-1583). Kudos to Lynne & Bill Wilkinson for starting such a wonderful organization local to Mason. They help women and families move out from shelters to start a new life. They accept clothing, baby items, furniture, household goods, pots & pans and more. Many of the women in the shelters had to quickly move out of their homes so they are starting completely over. They will even come pick up your donated items.
********************************************************************************************************************************* Donate to children in need. HTC provides clothing, books, clothing, toys and furniture to families in need. They accept donated items that are in excellent condition as well as monetary donations (94% goes to families in need). *********************************************************************************************************************************

Kicks for Kids is a great organization to support. It was started by former Bengal kicker, Doug Pelfrey to help at risk children (kids challenged either physically, mentally or environmentally).
********************************************************************************************************************************* March of Dimes, March for Babies - As a parent of two , I feel so blessed to have happy healthy girls. Many children face life threatening illnesses and the March of Dimes has been a saving grace for many families who have premature children. They support local community programs so that mother's can have healthy full-term pregnancies and assist families who have premature births. The March for Babies is a wonderful walk to support.
