I'm so glad you stopped by to visit MasonMetu™, a site where you can find kid-friendly recommendations and activities from one mom to another. When you say, "We're going to go to (fill in your activity) today".......Your kids will be saying, "me too, me too".
If you're a parent, grandparent, or relative living (or just visiting) in Mason, Ohio, Deerfield Township or the Greater Cincinnati area and are looking for things to do with your children, you've found the right place. I've been to most of the places listed and if I haven't then I'll let you know. I love living in the Cincinnati area since it has so much to offer for kids that I thought a user friendly, one-stop site was needed to highlight all the great family-friendly activities there are to do.

Most
of MasonMetu™ is dedicated to family- friendly activities. You'll see
by looking at the tabs, how many fun things there are to do (well, at
least I hope they'll be fun for your family - no money-back guarantees
offered but hopefully fun-filled memories will be plentiful).

- Biking - Find some great bike trails and paths in Butler, Hamilton & Warren Counties.
- Birthday Parties - Here are some recs on places that have good b-day parties for kids. We may not have tried them all but some sound interesting enough to try in the future - I mean I have lots of b-day's to plan ahead of me.
- Directions - Use Mapquest to help you find your way.
- Discounts & Deals - Everybody loves a deal, right? Check this out for some great ways to save money.
- Donation Places - If you have any gently used items you'd like to donate, find some great places that will take them off your hands. Also see our new feature on Worthy Causes.
- Educational Resources - Find a listing of local tutoring services & programs. We are also adding a special needs provider listing.
- Family Outing Days - or as we like to call them FOD's - This tab will help you if you want to plan a day for the family but aren't quite sure what to do.
- Featured Blogger of the Month - There are some wonderful bloggers out in the blog-o-sphere that I wanted to share some of their witty, enlightening, educational and funny blogs with you. Check back each month to see who we feature next.
- Grown Up Time - All my time isn't spent trying to entertain my children, so I thought I'd throw in some adult things that my husband, myself and/or friends like to do (all PG rated, don't worry). So you might find a fun restaurant to go to or place to hang out or a play to see or maybe even a fun sporting event (I threw that in for my husband).
- Historic Sites - The Queen City has a lot of history to learn about. See some great historical homes, museums and sites.
- Ice Cream - Great places to go for ice cream.
- Monthly Top Picks - Under this tab, you can find things that I think sound interesting or fun to do during the month. Maybe I'll even run into you there!
- Overnight Adventures - Here's some recs on fun things to do fairly close to Cincinnati but where you might want to stay overnight (adventures to Columbus, Indianapolis, Louisville, Lexington, State Parks, etc.).
- Parent Organizations - A listing of some local groups that you can join to meet other Mom's or parents.
- Professional Recommendations - PRORECS - I am definitely one to give some good customer feedback to places that I think do a great job, so I've included some of my personal professional recommendations from doctors to dentists to realtors to whatever I think belongs here. Remember, these are all strictly my opinion.
- Additional Recommendations - Here are some websites and or local businesses that might come in handy when you are looking for a plumber, electrician, handyman, etc.
- Recipe Exchange - A forum to share great recipes with other MasonMetu viewers.
- Restaurants - In addition to the kid activities, I've also included some family friendly restaurants that have worked well for us. I have two daughters (ages 4 and 5) and we are finally at the point where we can actually go out to dinner - I thought the day would never come! Granted, it's not some 5 star restaurant but at least there's some servers involved.
- Kids' Eat Free - Listing of local restaurants that have kids' eat free nights.
- Special Needs Programs - Check here for some excellent programs and organizations that support special needs children and their families. There are a lot of resources available to you.
- Summer Camps - A listing of some of the summer camps offered in Mason, Ohio, and Greater Cincinnati. The listing will be updated to reflect 2010 summer camps when the new information is available to MasonMetu.
- Women to Watch - Each month (or every few if I get delayed), a local businesswoman is featured. These women are experts in their fields plus they handle either being a wife and/or mother with grace. They inspire me and I just wanted to showcase some of their talents for you. See our 2009 Women to Watch.
- Worthy Causes - There are so many wonderful organizations to help those in need. Here is a sampling of just a few fantastic places to donate your time, talent or treasure to.
