Yes, I really am thanking a funeral home.  I was in a bind today. I planned our end of the year Daisy Scout party for the park and I should have known it would rain since my track record for planning our Daisy events always seems to involve rain on a Wednesday.  What is with this weather????  Anyhow, I didn’t want to cancel since 1) the girls are looking forward to the party, 2) I assigned everyone food to bring including my big meat tray and 3) we have special awards for the girls.  So late last night I was trying to figure out what to do when I remembered that I had gone to a Girl Scout event at Mueller Parker a few weeks ago so early this morning I called and spoke with Rick Parker.  He was so gracious and friendly and totally saved the day.

Mueller Parker is letting us use their community room for our event and Mr. Parker  was so nice that he even offered to set up the tables and provide coffee.  Their community room is located in the lower level of the funeral home and has an entrance that is separate from the main funeral home so you don’t come into contact with that part of the building just in case you were wondering how to avoid that delicate subject.  They offer this room to local non-profit groups so keep them in mind if you have an event and you need a space to host it. I had to write about this since I am very appreciative and you forget that there really are nice, generous people out there in the world – they really do exist.    Thank you Mueller Parker Funeral Home, you just made 10 little girls from Troop 48904 very happy (and their troop leader a lot less stressed).
