March 23-25, 2012, Duke Energy Convention Center
As a kid I fondly remember playing with LEGO® bricks. My older brother and I would spend hours building and creating our LEGO® villages then we'd spend lots of time playing in our made up towns, castles, space stations and more. I then got to see my younger brothers enjoy using our LEGO® sets. Now, it's fun to watch my girls' imaginations take over as the create their play worlds. My parents have even saved all the LEGO® bricks that my brothers and I used and now my girls play with the same toys that we did. It means a lot to see this and it also goes to show that Lego® really makes good quality products that can stand the test of time (ahem....we're talking toys that are anywhere from 20-30+ years old). This year it was even more exciting since LEGO® now has a great line of toys specifically targeted for girls with their LEGO® Friends series. The Lego's are colored in pinks, purples, bright blues and more plus the scenes that you create are just too cute. They've made lemonade stands, a puppy park, and more.
