Here you’ll find my blog where I write about some of my own experiences as a Mom as well as post some awesome giveaways. I’ll highlight certain features of MasonMetu that you might like to check out.
Thank you for reading my blog posts. I hope you can laugh along with me, preferably not at me. :) I've had fun writing the posts and I've found it is a great way to journal moments in our lives. One day when my girls are older, I'll be able to share these posts with them.

I've been happily married to Chris since 1995 and I'm currently a stay at home Mom to two girls, K & S and we have a chocolate lab, Bailey. I have a M.A. in Hearing & Speech Sciences from Ohio University (1994), a B.S. from O.U (1992), & I graduated from Middletown High School (1988). I have one older brother, and two younger brothers. We grew up in Jamestown and Olean, NY then moved to Middletown in 1986. I'm close to my parents,a.k.a Cici & Pee-Paw, and do lots of FOD's with them (see tab for more details). I enjoy reading, blogging, watching all my shows and spending time with friends and family.

Yesterday, I headed up to Columbus to attend a friend's baby shower. Always a happy occasion to celebrate new beginnings and new babes (they are adopting twins - yippie). Sometime I wonder if I have a mental block on learning. This morning K runs in exclaiming S got a letter. She excitedly hands it to S (who can't read yet) and then S asks me to read it. Turning 40 is a BIG deal but surviving riding Firehawk is even bigger. I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I asked my friend, LP, to go with me to Kings Island last week. Nothing beats a day at the spa…..enjoying some pampering is a great way to start your day. Throw in a pedicure, manicure, massage, shampoo and getting your hair styled is a little slice of heaven.  I’ve written before how my kids have a very very difficult time parting with any of their toys and stuffed animals but my youngest has taken it to a new level. If she puts any trash in the trashcan and sees that I’ve thrown away a picture or a school paper, then she reaches in and pulls out the item and rushes over to me asking, “Mommy, why did you throw this away?” “The guilt”….”the shame”….I feel terrible. I don’t know about you but since Thanksgiving is over I feel like I am in some crazy race to Christmas but I keep falling further and further behind and I feel like I’m never going to catch up (and it’s only Dec. 1).   Today, I got an email from Deerfield Township reporting that Cottell Park was vandalized. The attached pictures they emailed are so upsetting. Deerfield Township has worked so hard to make Cottell Park one of the best parks in this area. They’ve added a wonderful new playground, new tennis courts, baseball fields, volleyball courts, picnic tables under covered gazebos, park benches, and they relocated the original playground near the restroom facilities. Once again, I don’t think I’ll win “Mother of the Year” with the tale I’m about to tell. I took my girls to a festival recently since they were having free inflatables to jump in, free entertainment and free activities and games. I thought technology was supposed to make our lives easier? I’m really questioning that now since my digital camera is a part of me. I almost feel naked if I leave home without it. Memory lane is calling my name ……way back when I was an OU student (Go Bobcats), my childhood BFF was my roommate (love you Sue). We were polar opposites with anything dealing with time. I took Pysch 101 way back when and I vaguely remember the professor trying to emphasize that for every negative reaction someone gives us, it takes a lot more positive responses to make up for it.
