Here you’ll find my blog where I write about some of my own experiences as a Mom as well as post some awesome giveaways. I’ll highlight certain features of MasonMetu that you might like to check out.
Thank you for reading my blog posts. I hope you can laugh along with me, preferably not at me. :) I've had fun writing the posts and I've found it is a great way to journal moments in our lives. One day when my girls are older, I'll be able to share these posts with them.
On some browsers (Internet Explorer), you may need to click on the current blog post in order to see the ghosts of blogs past - then it opens back up into the main blog page and you have to scroll down again for all the posts. I know it's a bit confusing but I'm not quite sure how to work that bug out of the system yet.

I've been happily married to Chris since 1995 and I'm currently a stay at home Mom to two girls, K & S and we have a chocolate lab, Bailey. I have a M.A. in Hearing & Speech Sciences from Ohio University (1994), a B.S. from O.U (1992), & I graduated from Middletown High School (1988). I have one older brother, and two younger brothers. We grew up in Jamestown and Olean, NY then moved to Middletown in 1986. I'm close to my parents,a.k.a Cici & Pee-Paw, and do lots of FOD's with them (see tab for more details). Hmmm….let me see, you have: - Caused my daughter to feel worthless and insignificant. So sad when your first grader comes home and says, “no one likes me” and then the tears well up and the water works start flowing. I finally figured out it was because no one shared a rubber band that was shaped like a dog with her at school.

This weekend my first grader asked me, “Mommy, why don’t I ever get to wear jeans?" I told her that she could wear jeans if she wanted to. I didn’t elaborate on the past jean fiascos where my daughter would get into hysterical fits if I even tried to put a pair of jeans on her. Wow, I never knew that a shoebox could keep my kids playing and engaged for so long. At our recent Brownie meeting, the girls had to make a little home for their stuffed animal. All the girls at the meeting seemed to really enjoy the activity but my girls took it to a new level when we got home. They expanded their shoeboxes into mobile apartments – one room for sleeping, another for eating, etc. My youngest crammed as many animals as she could into hers. The only problem occurred when ... I knew there was a reason I stored away that blue box of baking fun. My daughter got an Easy Bake Oven last year for Christmas along with some fancy cupcake decorator (another box that is still in hiding). Yesterday I took my five-year old to see Peter Pan by The Children’s Theatre of Mason (CTM). I’m always amazed that someone can actually memorize lines and then give them life. What’s even more amazing is that the actors are all under the age of 18 – wow – I have trouble remembering three items on a grocery list. The kids were fantastic actors. There are so many television choices and programs on now that you just can’t keep up, but we recently found the Boomerang channel on demand and it has all these old cartoons that I watched as a kid – Scooby Doo, Josie & the Pussycats, The Jetsons, etc. My daughters are now hooked on Jabber Jaw (but they call it “Jammer” Jaw).
