Here you’ll find my blog where I write about some of my own experiences as a Mom as well as post some awesome giveaways. I’ll highlight certain features of MasonMetu that you might like to check out.

I have a M.A. in Hearing & Speech Sciences from Ohio University (1994), a B.S. from O.U (1992), & I graduated from Middletown High School (1988). I have one older brother, and two younger brothers. We grew up in Jamestown and Olean, NY then moved to Middletown in 1986. I'm close to my parents,a.k.a Cici & Pee-Paw, and do lots of FOD's with them (see tab for more details). Welcome YMCA Camp Kern's Summer Camp Director , Michael Costlow. Michael has a great guest post on "Summer Camp Through the Ages". Mike has been a camper since he was 7 years old, and has grown up at camp himself. I met Michael at my daughter's carnival day at Western Row Elementary where he was showing the kids turtles and cockroaches (the joy). Me on TV.....really?

I'm excited, nervous and a little bit panicked right now. Why? I'm heading downtown to our local WLWT 5 station to tape a segment on hassle saving items for parents. The taped segment will air Sunday morning as well as on the local radio stations (see times/dates at end of post). Running through my mind is....what do I wear, my roots are showing, I talk to fast, what if I mess up, will my glasses get dark from the glare of the lights.....and on and on. Get it together GIRL!

Monster Jam Thunder Nationals Giveaway! (Closed - Congratulations to Amy)!

Last year my girls got to attend the Monster Jam show in Cincinnati and they loved it (thank you Feld Entertainment). I was out of town so my husband and Dad took the girls. They liked seeing all the big trucks jumping over other cars. The dirt filled arena had raised mounds just waiting for those engines to rev up and go, go, go. The wheels on those vehicles are HUGE (thus the name Monster Jam). They did have to buy ear plugs since it is also loud, loud, loud.
