     MasonMetu™ Blog

Here you’ll find my blog where I write about some of my own experiences as a Mom as well as post some awesome giveaways.   I’ll highlight certain features of MasonMetu that you might like to check out.

Thank you for reading my blog posts. I hope you can laugh along with me, preferably not at me. :) I've had fun writing the posts and I've found it is a great way to journal moments in our lives. One day when my girls are older, I'll be able to share these posts with them.

On some browsers (Internet Explorer), you may need to click on the current blog post in order to see the ghosts of blogs past - then it opens back up into the main blog page and you have to scroll down again for all the posts.  I know it's a bit confusing but I'm not quite sure how to work that bug out of the system yet.

How to leave a comment on a post:

If you'd like to leave a comment on a blog, please click on the title of the article you are reading, then scroll down and you'll find the place to leave the comment.

Thank you for viewing and for your support!

    Learning Through Play Giveaway!

Posted by Kristin Goecke on Monday, February 28, 2011, In : Give Aways

Playing and kids go hand in hand and there's no better place to play with your kids than the Cincinnati Museum Center. With three interactive, educational and fun museums you can return over and over again and always see something new.  Our family loves the museum and every time we visit (too many times to count) we always enjoy it. I wish I kept track of how many times we've gone through the twists and turns of the cave, played in the sand area in the Museum of Natural History, hopped aboard ...

Last year, thanks to Feld Entertainment we got to attend Ringling's circus show Zing Zang Zoom and my girls love, love ,loved it.  It was a big hit with them and me too.  The circus has evolved - it's a spectacular show that has dazzling special effects, over the top performers that do amazing acrobatics, tight rope walking and unbelievable stunts.  Plus, you get the added thrill of seeing the amazing elephants, the...

Date Night - Sign me up for the "Early Bird Special"

Posted by Kristin Goecke on Tuesday, February 15, 2011, In : Restaurant Review
Parents know it's hard to carve out "me" time or "we" time.  Our kids have homework, after school activities, practices or games to attend and if you have more than one kid then everything is multiplied.  I have a friend with five kids and I have no idea how she juggles it all especially when there is a meeting or practice at the exact same time.  She somehow makes it all work.  We all know that taking time to spend time with your husband or significant other is necessary but it's not always ...

    Happy Birthday MasonMetu!

Posted by Kristin Goecke on Tuesday, February 1, 2011, In : Happy Birthday - FAQ's

Wow, I can’t believe that MasonMetu is celebrating its 2nd birthday today.  It’s been a labor of love for me and I hope you have enjoyed it too.  It’s been quite a journey.  I had absolutely no clue about blogging, how to do a website, what the heck HTML code was, what a widget or an affiliate advertiser was, or how in the world Google finds you in the sea of other websites out there.  I also had no clue about social media (Facebook, Twitter, and Lin...
