Horseback riding is great fun for kids. I didn't realize that there are so many opportunities in the Cincinnati area to try this out. Many of the places listed offer lessons but if you just want to give your kids the experience of riding a pony, then head to Parky's Farm at Winton Woods. For $2.50 they can get a guided ride and you will get the biggest smile so bring those cameras.
Lessons can range from $25 an hour for group lessons up to $70 for private lessons but check with the riding stables for specific rate information.
